GROOMS, Harry D.

Age 86, of New Lebanon, passed away Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at Brookhaven Retirement Community, following a lengthy illness. He was a longtime member of Grace Baptist Church on Olive Rd. in Dayton. He was proud to have served in the United States Marine Corps in the 1950’s. He was a retired carpenter by trade. Harry is survived by his wife of 65 years, Shirley; sons, Harry Grooms, Jr. (Diane) and Mike Grooms (Cornelia); daughter, Pam Young (Rick); 7 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren and numerous other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Monday, May 1 at the GILBERT-FELLERS FUNERAL HOME, 950 ALBERT RD., BROOKVILLE, with entombment to follow in the mausoleum at Royal Oak.
