Age 37, of Troy, formerly of Brookville, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 7, 2017. He was a graduate of Dixie High School and Miami Valley CTC, he worked as a Semi Trailer Repair Maint. Tech for GE Trailer Div. at ABF Motor Freight Lines for many years before becoming disabled. He was a volunteer firefighter for both Verona & Ludlow Falls Fire Depts, and was truly dedicated to serving and helping people in need. He was a member of West Milton Lodge #577 F&AM and was also part of the Ohio Military Reserve. Jeremy is survived by a son, David Hunter Black; parents, David & Karen Black; sister, Renee (Todd) Maxwell; nephews, Colin, Nathaniel, Jonathan, Amorie & Christian Maxwell; nieces, MaKayla & J’Viona Maxwell; maternal grandmother, Alice (Fox) Warner and numerous other relatives and friends. A celebration of Jeremy’s life will be held 12 PM Tue. March 14 at Salem Church of God, 6500 Southway Rd., Clayton, OH 45315, with visitation Tuesday from 10 AM to service time. A private burial will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to either GIVE Ministries, 1000 Mote Dr., Covington, OH 45318, or The Lincoln Community Center, 110 Ash St., Troy, OH 45373.
