STEPHENS, Jim D.

Age 63, of Brookville, peacefully passed away August 27th, 2017. He was preceded in death by his father, Jimmy Stephens Sr. and brothers, Toby and Barney. Jim loved his wife, children and spending time with his grandchildren. He was a people person who easily made friends and had a heart for caring deeply about his family. “Dirt” loved to play pool on Friday nights with his friends. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Lynda; children, Allyson Stephens and Shaun (Jackie) Stephens; grandchildren, Aryanna and Brenner Stephens; mother, Vera Chasteen; siblings, Sherry (Donald) Marshall, Jawn (Rita) Chasteen, Tim Stephens and Daniel Stephens and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends. A celebration of life gathering will be held from 10 am - 11 am Saturday, September 2 at First United Methodist Church with a service to follow at 11 am . Interment to follow at Arlington Cemetery.
