STEPHENS, Lemuel

Age 82, of Lewisburg, passed away Sunday, September 3, 2017 following a sudden illness.

Lemuel is preceded in death by brothers, Ernie and Lonnie, and sisters, Ora, Retta, and Gladys.

Lemuel served our country in the US Army during the Korean War. Lemuel was a proud member of the Plumbers and Pipe Fitters Union, Local 162. He has always been a fan of ARCA & NASCAR racing. Most of the time you could find him outdoors enjoying the sunshine, working in the yard, or golfing. He was a wonderful, loving, kind, and generous husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Frances Stephens; children, Joseph (Joanne) Stephens, David Stephens, Robin (Steve) Cunningham, Shelly Stephens; grandchildren, Nadine (Matt) Breslow, Erica (Ben) Houghton, Erin (Steven) McCaig, Cortney (Kenny) Thomas, Marissa Cunningham, Miranda (Brandon) Hess, Thomas Stephens; 5 great-grandchildren; brother, Charlie Stephens; sister, Julie Landis, and numerous other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held Friday, September 8th from 5:00pm – 7:00pm at GILBERT-FELLERS FUNERAL HOME, 950 ALBERT RD., BROOKVILLE.
