Szwec, William “Bill”

Age 78, of Brookville, passed away Friday, April 28, 2017 at the Hospice of Dayton following an extended illness. Bill is preceded in death by his parents, Ihor and Stephania Szwec; sister, Violet Perschke; brother, Victor Szwec; and nephews, John Szwec, Tom Szwec, and Ziegfried Perschke. He loved watching nature and was particularly fond of gardening, especially roses. Bill was a loving husband of 53 years, a loving father and a wonderful grandfather. He is survived by his wife, Jean Szwec; children, Greg (Lisa) Szwec, Alan (Brenda) Szwec, Tim Szwec and Chris Szwec; 10 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren, and numerous other relatives and friends. A visitation will be held at Gilbert-Fellers Funeral Home, 950 Albert Rd., Brookville, OH 45309 on Friday May 5th from 10am – 11am with a procession to a graveside service at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Trotwood immediately to follow.
