KRESS, Emerson E. “Gene”
Age 85, of Brookville, passed away Thursday, July 5, 2012 following an extended illness. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Elmo Kress in 1985. He was a US Navy veteran of WWII, serving on LST 487 in the South Pacific. He was a member of VFW Post #3288, Brookville, he retired from DP&L in 1992 and also worked many years for NCR. He is survived by his wife of 19 years, Connie (Hamiel) Kress; children, Teresa Kress, Gary (Gloria) Kress, Yvonne (Terry) Bourne & Mickey (Mary) Kress; 8 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; step-children, Kelly (Paul) Culler, Kim (Gregg) Meece & Kristina (David) Heck; 9 step-grandchildren & 1 step-great-grandchild; sisters, Shirley Wisecup & Patricia Kress; nephew, Greg Wisecup. Funeral services will be held 2 PM Mon. July 9 at the GILBERT-FELLERS FUNERAL HOME, 950 ALBERT RD., BROOKVILLE. Burial in Arlington Cemetery, Brookville. Visitation will be held from 1-2 PM Monday.
