Shirley June (Kennedy) March, age 85, passed away peacefully on February 25, 2024, at Cypress Point Health Center (Englewood OH). Originally from Eagan TN, Shirley was a long-time resident of Old North Dayton Ohio. She was preceded in death by her beloved Kenneth A. March, may they rest together for eternity in Christ’s peace, along with her parents Bud and Mary Louise (Kesterson) Kennedy, daughter Mary Pullis, sister Billie Jean Glandon, brothers Robert Ray Kennedy, Earl Edward Kennedy, James Kennedy, and Henry Clay Kennedy. She is survived by her daughter, Natinka Siwecki (Stephen), grandchildren Jessica Perez (Rafael), Arthur Siwecki (Beth), and Matthew Pullis, great grandchildren Rafael Perez Jr. and Maria Perez, sisters Betty Jo Bramlette, Janice Louise Knox (Kenneth), Carolyn Fay McMinn (Forest), and numerous nieces and nephews all of whom she dearly loved. Shirley was the epitome of generosity; giving of her time, talent and treasure was second nature. She and Kenneth, alongside raising their own, had fostered a number of children in need. Always an advocate for veteran’s causes, she was an auxiliary member of, and volunteered extensively for, local VFW, AmVets, and American Legion posts. She enjoyed volunteering at Our Lady of Mercy Church, be it polishing pews, making cabbage rolls, babysitting the pastor’s greyhounds, and especially at their Food Pantry and free Community Dinners. Shirley will be greatly missed but never forgotten by those who love her and the countless who were touched by her kindness. Shirley will be interred at the Arlington Parish Cemetery in Brookville, OH with a private family service. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to a US veteran’s charity of your choice.
