The staff at Gilbert Fellers has helped our family through some of the most difficult times of our lives - the loss of parents throughout the years and most recently the unexpected loss of my husband Lee Vance. The caring, the gentleness, the guidance all helped us through the pain. Dave took us step by step through the process with patience and warmth, thinking for us when we couldn't think anymore. Our family will always be beyond grateful for Gilbert Fellers.

I'd like to thank David Fellers and the staff for the wonderful service they held for my mother Donna, who passed a little over a week ago. In the final years of her life she held so much stress and pain, suffering from Alzheimer's and not being able to voice her frustrations the way she used to be able to do. But during the viewing, for the first time in a very long time, she looked at peace. The grit in her teeth and the furrow of her brow were gone, the pain and suffering she endured all that time vanished. It put me at ease to finally see her at peace. David had even touched up her fingernail polish, something that would have meant the world to her. It was incredible to finally see her how I remember her. I didn't see a woman in pain, or a woman in distress, all I saw was my Mom how she wanted to be seen. Thank you so much for the wonderful service.

Loss is never easy! Our daughter/sister was only 24 and was only ill a couple days. This sudden and tragic death was almost in conceivable. Mr. David Fellers and his staff were there for us from the first phone call. They arranged a beautiful service for Samantha. They answered various texts and phone calls well out of business hours without a moment's hesitation.

Their caring attention to detail made what was an extremely difficult situation much easier.

Many thanks to David and staff for their excellent and godly service provided at my Stepfathers passing. Their compassionate care was greatly appreciated by my mother and family. The emphasis on honoring the Christian faith was refreshing in this day and age. Highly recommended!!

I recently lost my mom after many years of suffering from Alzheimer’s disease. From the very beginning, the staff at Gilbert-Fellers showed so much compassion and respect towards my family. They took the time to listen to our wishes and went out of their way to make everything run smoothly.

When we noticed that the wording “Grandma” was missing from the ribbon on the casket spray of flowers, they immediately contacted their Brookville florist to come and take care of the matter before any guests arrived.

After the funeral service, they even suggested that I could spend some extra final time with my Mom prior to going to the cemetery. Previously, I had lost several loved ones and the funeral homes I dealt with never offered this option. It really touched my heart.

I can tell that they truly care about people which made this sad event more bearable.

We recently lost Mom. Her entire family has used the services of Gilbert & Fellers over the years. However, until her death, we had no idea just how wonderful they are. From making the arrangements to the funeral itself we could not have asked for more caring concerns by David and his staff. Our special requests from grandchildren and great grandchildren were honored which made the whole process much easier. We just cannot say enough about the wonderful way we were treated and have expressed these feelings to everyone.

My son passed away unexpectedly and the only choice in my mind was Gilbert Fellers who had handled my husbands funeral in 2008. The kindness I received was even more than I expected from the previous service for my husband. Everything was explained in detail. Any and all questions and requests were handled with kindness and professionalism. I don’t believe there was anything lacking. I seldom recommend businesses, but this is my exception. I can’t thank them enough for making a horrible situation so much better than I expected. They were a gift from God.

Under the leadership of President David Fellers, all Pre-Arranged details for the visitation, the coordination for a Military funeral service with an Honor Guard, and grave preparations at Royal Oak Memorial Gardens, were completely explained to us with care and compassion, then executed expertly.
The Chapel service and graveside service was conducted by local Pastor Phil Marxson and was handled with dignity and respect.
We were very impressed with the cleanliness of the Chapel, lobby areas, restrooms, modern kitchen and audio/visual equipment at the funeral home.

My husband, Richard Braumiller passed away recently....kind of unexpectedly after surgery and a stroke. My children and I feel so blessed to have gone to Gilbert-Fellers funeral home and being treated like family by David Fellers. Every detail was explained to us completely and we were made to feel at ease and comfortable with the service we wanted for Richard and his visitation. The viewing was ran very smoothly and the service at our home church in Brookville , was handled and completed with dignity, but in a definite family type way by every employee from top to bottom at Gilbert/Fellers. I will recommend Gilbert/Fellers to everyone I can.......I feel we were blessed by God to be treated by all of them in the way we were. I sincerely thank David Fellers and his staff!

The Daily Grief Support Emails are "Spot on" and very helpful. I found the sign-up for them by accident and am very glad I did. I told my whole family to sign up to receive them.

Words can not express the care and compassion we received when my children's father passed away. Mr. David Fellers explained everything, gave my children advise on the best service for their dad. This is a business, but the way my children were treated was NOT business like. We were treated like family. Thank you for all that you did for the family , we truly appreciate it.
