WERTS, Allen D.

Age 92, of Union, passed away Sunday, September 23. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Betty Niesley and sisters, Delores Laub, and Norma Jean Slife. He was a 1944 graduate of Milton Union High School and a WWII vet who served in the U.S. Army Air Corps. Allen was also a member of the M.A.C. Club and the Nashville United Church of Christ. Survived by his wife Sylvia Werts; children, David (Georgia Bayman) Werts, Charline Werts, and Mike (Terrie) Werts; grandchildren, Tyler (Kristina), Jenna, and Samuel; step-children, Beverly (Bill) Schuessler, and Bruce Hacker; step-grandchildren, Sara, John, Shawn, and Joseph. Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm on Wednesday, September 26, at GILBERT-FELLERS FUNERAL HOME, 950 ALBERT RD., BROOKVILLE. Funeral service will be at 10:30 am Thursday, September 27, at the funeral home with interment to follow in Wheelock Cemetery.
