WATT, George Henry Jr.
Age 92, of Brookville, passed away peacefully at his home early on Christmas morning. He was preceded in death by his wife Vivian and by a sister, Dora May Filing. He was a US Army Air Forces veteran of WWII, and a longtime member of Brookville First United Methodist Church. He taught math & science for the Brookville School District until 1968 and then retired in 1983 from the Montgomery County Board of Education. He was very active with Brookville FISH and was also in charge of adult recreational softball at Golden Gate Park for 20 years. George is survived by children & their spouses, Pam (Bob) Gardner, Lorraine (Paul) Christian, Tim (Della) Watt, Peggy (Scott) Osswald, Jane (Eric) Miller & Karen Pedtke; grandchildren, Jennifer, Rob, Josh, DJ, Matthew, Seth, Miranda, Ashley, Tyler, Shana, Jamie, Heather, Jacob, Jesse, Nicole, Alexis, Devin, Brittni & Matt; 28 great-grandchildren; sisters, Betty Lou Flatter & Edwina Ruth Sutton; brother, Kenny Watt and numerous other relatives & many special friends. Funeral services will be held 10:30 AM Monday, Dec. 31 at the Brookville First United Methodist Church, 963 Salem St., Brookville, with Pastor Keith Smallenbarger officiating. Entombment will follow in the Mausoleum at Royal Oak Memorial Gardens, Brookville. Visitation will be held 2-6 PM Sunday, Dec. 30 at the GILBERT-FELLERS FUNERAL HOME, 950 ALBERT RD., BROOKVILLE, and at the church Monday from 9:30 AM until service time.
