Hugh Cain Obituary

CAIN, Hugh L.

88, of Lewisburg, passed away Sunday, April 15, 2018. He was preceded in death by his parents, Oco and Emma Cain; half-brothers, Woodrow, Bill and Carl Cummins and half-sisters, Georgie Dalton and Christine Keith. Hugh served in the U.S. Air Force and was in the Korean war. He was a member of the VFW post 3288. Hugh graduated from the University of Kentucky and he retired after working 33 years as an engineer for General Telephone. Hugh was a member of the Verona United Methodist Church. His favorite hobby was golf and he enjoyed being on the golf course every chance he got. Survived by his wife of 62 years, Ruth Cain; son, Bruce (Sandy) Cain; daughter, Debra Satkamp; six grandchildren, Jason (Billi) Cain, Daniel Cain, Melissa (Mike) Satkamp, Tabitha Satkamp, Eric Satkamp and Isaac Satkamp; five great-grandchildren, Alana, Trent, Zoe, Mackenzie and Asher. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be sent to Verona United Methodist Church or Hospice of Dayton.
