HILES, Ila

Age 96, of Brookville, passed away Friday, May 19, 2017 at Hospice of Dayton following a brief illness. She is preceded in death by her husband, Frank Hiles, sister, Faye Sikes, and brother-in-law Jim Hiles. Ila never knew a stranger.  She had a big heart and always welcomed company. If she wasn’t cooking or spending time with friends you could probably find her fishing as she often loved to do. She was a wonderful friend, a loving wife, and will truly be missed.  Ila is survived by nieces, Jennifer (Daniel) Tabor, Carol, Irene, and Jeanie (Frank) Gilette; brother, Paul (Barbara) Hamby; great friends, Brenda Estes, Chris Newland, Jeylon VanZant, and numerous other relatives and friends. A special thank you to Kristina Davidson for all your support. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, May 23rd at 11am at GILBERT-FELLERS FUNERAL HOME, 950 ARLINGTON RD., BROOKVILLE. A visitation will be held from 10-11AM right before the service on Tuesday. If desired, donations may be sent to Hospice of Dayton.
