COX, Richard E.

Age 88, of Brookville, passed away Monday, April 9, 2018 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Dayton following an extended illness. He was preceded in death by a son, Michael Cox, son-in-law, Ed Rowlett & daughter-in-law, Sheila Cox. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Brookville, a retired member of Carpenter’s Union #104 and an avid Cleveland Browns fan. Richard is survived by his wife of nearly 68 years, Donna; three children, Rebecca Rowlett, Daniel Cox & Cynthia Oaks; 10 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; brothers, Raymond Cox & Billy Cox; sister, Mary Rowe, and numerous other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Friday, April 13 at the GILBERT-FELLERS FUNERAL HOME, 950 ALBERT RD., BROOKVILLE, with burial to follow at Royal Oak Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Friday from 12-1. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to Trinity Lutheran Church.
