You have our earnest prayers and sympathies for your loss. We pray peace over you at this difficult time.

One thing, of many, I remember and appreciate about your dad Steve was the time he came over to Indy to help rescue that rehab on Deborah St. He just came to help.

Along the way he helped raise 4 pretty awesome children too.

We love you all and are here for you

Message from Theresa (Rauch) Harris, cousin
May 23, 2017 8:26 PM

Through God's grace, and our cousin Mary Eubanks, after the 2015 Rauch Family Reunion, Steve and I were "reunited" via email. He sent pictures of his lovely wife Kim and of he and Jerry sailing off the cost of New Port Richey. He spoke of his love for his family, and about his small farm, hens, and bees.

Steve also shared with me his love of God and his involvement in the First Heavy Metal Church of Christ. In our discussions about being born again, Steve opened his heart and said:
"I don’t know about you, but the last thing I am is perfect. Not by a long shot. But God has a perfect sacrifice for sin, all sin. His only begotten son, Jesus. That is why Christ had to suffer the cross. He looked down through eternity and saw Steve Allison and said “this I do for you”! (my paraphrase). So we can NEVER be good enough except through Jesus."

My brother Chuck fondly recalls that Steve "was a good playmate every time the family got together at Grandma and Grandpa Rauch's on Steele Avenue" in Dayton. Steve had said he fondly remembered family get togethers at our house in Beavercreek, and the time the entire Allison family rode with my family down to Grandma and Grandpa's house in Florida. We joked that the back of that Plymouth station wagon could hold more kids than a VW could hold clowns!

Although years and distance separated us, Steve will be forever remembered and loved by his cousins Chuck, Sheri, Bern, Jim, Theresa, and Joe. Steve was blessed to have such a large family, and we extend our deepest sympathies to Kim and his children and grandchildren. May God grant that time is kind to your hearts and brings you sweet memories in place of sadness.

Thank you for this memory of Steve! There is nothing better than cousins playing together and aging gracefully together. No fonder memory exists than memories of the good ol days. Thank you for your prayers and for reaching out.

Almost two years ago Kim and Steven was introduced to us. We had the privilege to be married out at the Little Mader Farm. After our wedding we became friends. Steven will be greatly missed. There is no more suffering but he is now celebrating a better life. R.I.H.
