MONTGOMERY, Anna Mae

Age 101, of Brookville, passed away on Sunday, June 1, 2025, at Hospice of Dayton. She is preceded in death by her parents, Aaron & Pearlie (Behnken) Negangard; her first husband, Staff Sgt. Raymond Ertel who was killed in World War II, her husband of 67 years, Russell Montgomery; daughter, Rebecca Ertel Pugh; sister, Clara Schlievert, grandchildren, Deborah Edwards and James Kendel Jr.; special brother-in-law, Albert Montgomery sons-in-law, Donald Crowe & Michael Greely. She graduated from Trotwood High School. She worked for the Government as an I.B.M. keypuncher during World War II and later for Reynolds & Reynolds & Rikes at the Salem Mall. She was primarily a mother & homemaker. She volunteered with the fish pantry and was a member of the Brookville Church of the Brethren. She is survived by her daughters, Maribeth Crowe and Susan Greely; grandchildren, Rani & Zach Crowe; step-grandchildren, Steven Pugh; great-grandchildren, Jamie & Justin Izor and Jaycee Crowe; great-great-grandchildren, Peyton Mae & Dylan Izor; special sister-in-law, Marilyn Montgomery; and many nieces, nephews. A memorial service for Anna will be on June 11, 2025, at 11 a.m. at the Brookville Church of the Brethren, 220 Western Ave. Brookville, OH 45309.
