SAYLOR, Ashley
Age 37, of Englewood, went to be with the Lord on Monday, February 7, 2022 following a sudden illness.
Ashley was a fierce, passionate, compassionate person who led with love. If you interacted with her, you never got half of Ashley, you got all of her.
She valued time with loved ones above all. As a mother, her children never doubted her love for them, her patience for all that they are, and her joy in who they grew into each day. As a friend, she was relentless and showed care through presence, love and food. Oh my, her food. If you left Ashley’s table and were still hungry, then you did something wrong.
As an employee she demanded the best out of herself and would not relent in her pursuit of serving those who are in need. She worked in Child welfare, adoptions, foster care, case management, and also worked in drug rehab and most recently as a hospice social worker. She knew that no matter the reality, every person at some point or another is in need of care like she offered. As a wife, she was amazing. She made Lee a better person each and every day and it was a humble blessing of Lee's to be her husband.
There is no obituary that can sum up Ashley. Her loss will be felt for years. She was love. You are encouraged to please tell stories about her, but to love one another as fiercely, passionately and compassionately as she did.
Ashley is preceded in death by her mother, Carrie Hughes. She is survived by her husband of 15 years, Pastor Lee Saylor; children, Thomas Saylor, Isaac Saylor; father, Kenneth (Tammi) Hughes; brother, Tyler (Brittany) Hughes, and their children, Colton, McCoy, & June; sister, Caiti Brown; brother, Joshua (Samantha) Brown, and numerous other relatives and friends.
A Celebration of Life for Ashley will be held on Saturday, February 12, 2022, 5PM, at Gilbert-Fellers Funeral Home, 950 Albert Rd., Brookville, OH 45309. A visitation will be held on the 12th, at the funeral home, from 2pm - 5pm, leading into the services.
