BOOSO, Betty Jane (Howe)
Age 74, of Lewisburg, passed away with her children by her side on Saturday, October 17, 2020 after a lengthy battle with COPD. She was born August 5, 1946 in Dayton. She was the daughter of the late Sylvia C (Ronald) Boger and Glenn Howe. Betty was the youngest of her 3 siblings and she was a 1964 graduate of Lewisburg High School. She married Donald Booso, Sr. in 1964 and was employed by NCR & Standard Abrasives before retiring from McGregor-Surmount in 2014. Her favorite colors were pink, yellow and teal. Her memory will live on especially when we hear the songs, Rocky Top & Bluebird. She will be thought of often and we will smile every time we see a blue jay. We will laugh and shake our heads as we remember the sass she brought to most conversations. She loved spending time with her family, watching soap operas & NASCAR, crocheting, reading, crossword puzzles, BINGO, camping and cheering for her children & grandchildren during sporting events. Her favorite holiday was Christmas. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a sister, Suzanne Rismiller; sister-in-law, Mary Howe; maternal grandparents, Grace (Kunkle) & Cebary Brown; and by the father of her children, Donald D. Booso, Sr. Betty is survived by children, Donald Douglas Booso, II (Shannon), Lore Jean Booso, JoDona Lynne Sharritt (Jason), Frankie Ray Lee Booso (Katie); grandchildren, Ashley Evans (Nathan), Kimberlyn Silvers (Dillon Powell), Morgan Shuttleworth, Hayden Sharritt, Mickiah Booso, Christopher Booso, Donald Booso; great-grandchildren, Adalynn Gunder, Brilee Evans, Kolton Evans, Carsyn Powell & Decker Powell, sister, Glenna Bowman (David); brother, Richard Howe; sister, Sandy McCormick; brother-in-law, Don Rismiller; uncle, Albert Brown; aunts, Judy Becher & Arline Howe along with numerous other relatives and many special friends. Funeral services will be held 2pm Thu. Oct. 22 at the GILBERT-FELLERS FUNERAL HOME, 950 ALBERT ROAD, BROOKVILLE. Visitation will be held Thursday from 1-2 pm prior to the service. Burial will follow in Roselawn Cemetery, Lewisburg. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Hospice of Dayton.
