DREXLER, Henry “Bud”
Age 93, of Brookville, passed away January 22, 2023. Preceded in death by his parents, Gladys & Henry Drexler; sisters, Peggy and Virginia. Bud graduated from Brookville H.S. in 1947. He then served in the U.S. Navy from 1948-1952 during the Korean War. Charter and lifetime member of Brookville Jaycees and president from 1965-1966. Charter member of Brookville Auxiliary police. Member and vice president of Brookville and Preble County Historical Societies and the Brookville antique tractor club. Lifetime Am Vets member of post 1789. Seven time Commander and lifetime member of V.F.W. post 3288 where he was all state five times and all American three times. Owner and proprietor of Drexler Sales from 1948-1998. Survived by wife, Judith Drexler; daughter, Lisa (John) Childers; granddaughter, Jessica (Dr. Earl House) Hubley; great-grandchildren, Jace, Brynn, & Lane Hubley; step-granddaughter, Kim Tyree (Mike Kendall) and sons, Cole, & Cam; step-daughter, Lisa (Dave) Orrison and family; step-sons, John (Wendy) Fitzgerald, Ryan (Ginnie) Fitzgerald and family. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. on Thursday January 26, 2023 at GILBERT FELLERS FUNERAL HOME 950 ALBERT RD. BROOKVILLE, OH with Am Vets service at 6:45, Thursday night, at the funeral home. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, at the funeral home. Interment to follow in Arlington Cemetery, Brookville. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Hospice of Dayton.
