Born April 17, 1939, Charles "Ed/Eddy" passed away on April 25, 2025. He was a kind, gentle selfless man. He loved the Lord, The Cincinnati Reds, and the Statler Brothers. Charles graduated from Brookville High School in 1958. He joined the Air Force in 1958. He was stationed in Hawaii and was discharged in 1962. He was a member of Christ Baptist Church in Brookville and then Olivet Church in New Lebanon. He worked and retired from McMaken's IGA. Charles was preceded in death by his parents, William and Francis (Prass) Rice; sisters-in-law, Bonny and Marlene Rice; brother-in-law, Guy Bostian Sr. Charles is survived by his brothers, Bill and Dennis (Becky) Rice; sister, Carol Bostian; nieces and nephews, Jodie Popple, Guy (Janet) Bostian Jr., Prggy (Terry) Carroll, Michael (Dawn) Rice, Juliana (Mark) Bailey, and Jeremy Rice; great-nieces and nephews, Tyler and Chase Popple, Guy Bostian III, Matthew Carroll, Shane, Seth, and Liberty Rice, Morgan and Megan Bailey; five great-great nieces and nephews. At Charle's request no services will be held. In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to Billygraham.org or Hospiceofhope.org.
