HOUSE, Christine "Chris"

Age 68, of Brookville, passed away on Monday, January 24, 2022, while surrounded by her husband and children.

Chris was born June 22, 1953, in Dayton, Ohio to the late Calvin McDavid & Robbie McDavid.

She had a passion for music. Chris participated in Miller's Blackhaws and shared her musical talent with her three daughters, whom all went on to share a love of music as well. Chris was active with the Brookville Band for many years, supporting the team any way she could, often with uniforms or equipment. She was also a supporter for the University of Cincinnati marching band, where 2 of her daughters were active in. Chris considered every child that had a passion for music or band one of her own and was even given the joyous nickname "Momma House."

Chris was also known in the community for her sewing that she enjoyed making. She was always excited for the next project and tried to share her skills and talents with everyone. She cared deeply about helping others and will be dearly missed by all the family and friends she leaves behind.

Chris is preceded in death by her parents, Calvin & Robbie McDavid.

She is survived by her husband of 35 years, Mike House; daughters, April (Shane) Beck; Rachel (Devin) Elliott, Melissa (Chris Hall) House (and their beloved cats Pumpkin & Gracie); grandchildren, Olivia & one more grandchild on the way, and numerous other relatives and friends.

Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family at a later date with a Celebration of Life to be held sometime over the spring/summer.
