BLACKBURN, Donald H.

Age 92, of Brookville, passed away on August 26, 2024 at Hospice of Dayton. Donald graduated from Verona High School and went on to complete his formal education at Sinclair Community College. He was a talented mechanical engineer who worked for Ledex and Hobart in Troy. He loved the Lord and served his church and the Gideons in many capacities. Donald is survived by his cherished wife of nearly 69 years, Geraldine E. Blackburn (Surber); daughters, Annette (Dan) Hensley of Tipp City and Patty (Larry) Tully of Germantown; five grandchildren, Sara (Marty) Cox, Kimberly (Rickey) Cornett, Angie (Jameson) Riner, Adam (Julia) Hensley, and Kirsten (Joel) Hershberger; 11 great-grandchildren; sisters, Dorothy Hemmerich and Betty Gangel. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 3rd at GILBERT-FELLERS FUNERAL HOME 950 ALBERT RD., BROOKVILLE. Memorial services to be held at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, September 4th in First Baptist Church, New Lebanon. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Gideon International or Hospice of Dayton.
