MILBY, Donald R. Sr.

Age 82, of New Lebanon, passed on to be with Jesus at Hospice of Dayton on Sunday August 7, 2022.  He spent most of his life in Montgomery County, retiring from GM as a machine repairman after over 40 years of service. Soon after retirement he moved to Celina, OH where they enjoyed over 25 years living near the lake, where he spent his time fishing, boating and living his dream. He also enjoyed many trips to Tennessee with his Pastor, Rick Brosher and a few mission trips to serve others. He was a founding member of Brookville Full Gospel Church of God and he loved listening to gospel music. He was also a song leader. Last year they moved back to Montgomery County due to health problems. Don is survived by his wife of 65 years, Shirley; sons, Donald Milby Jr. & Douglas (Sandy) Milby; grandchildren, Elisha, Daniel, Nathan & Jillian; great-grandsons, Stetson, Alasdair & Benjamin; brother, Richard (Connie) Milby; sister-in-law, Marilyn Milby; brothers-in-law, Bud Christian & Paul Brown and a host of many family and friends. Don has now joined family and many other loved ones and Jesus in Heaven. Visitation will be held 5-7 pm Thu. Aug 11 at the Brookville Full Gospel Church of God, 235 S. Wolfcreek St. Brookville. The funeral will be held at the church on Friday, starting at 10 am, with burial to follow in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens, Tipp City.
