BEATY, Glen F.
Age 90 passed away August 25, 2022 in peace at Hospice of Dayton.
Glen enjoyed family, friends and his pets. He was involved in racing and Aristocrat Sprint cars. He was a USAC official for a time. He enjoyed INDYCAR, NASCAR and was a founding member of Dayton Area Race Fans. Glen worked at NCR for 28 years, many machine shops and then at Aristocrat products, retiring from both. Glen was a member of the Ohio Air National Guard, VFW #3288 and AMVETS #1789 (Lifetime) of Brookville. His love for antique tools drove his next career and passion for flea markets, auctions and sales. Glen liked to garden and work with all the tools that didn’t yet sell. Enjoyed Music; Johnny Cash, Statler Brothers and Boots Randolph. Motto; “Be a Can Do person”.
Glen was preceded in death by his parents Robert & Pearl Beaty, by a brother, Bob (Glenna) Beaty & sister, Betty (Buck) Shirey. Glen is survived by his wife of 71 years, Doris (Swink) Beaty; daughter Chris Goubeaux; sons Steve (Cleo) Beaty, Mike (Alice) Beaty and Jeff (Myra) Beaty; grandchildren, Robbie Beaty, Lauren Boudi, Micheal & Scott Goubeaux & Ryan C Stokes; great-grandchildren, Faith & Brayden Beaty, Diana, Lena and Gideon Boudi; also many cousins & one special cousin Vanessa Guenther.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Thu. Sep.1 at the GILBERT-FELLERS FUNERAL HOME, 950 ALBERT ROAD, BROOKVILLE, with burial to follow in Arlington Cemetery, Brookville. Visitation will be held 10-11 AM Thursday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to a charity of your choice or Hospice of Dayton.
