Glen Williard Behnken Obituary
Glen Willard Behnken died peacefully at home on December 19, 2025 after a lengthy illness. Born on December 25, 1929 in Brookville, Ohio he was the son of the late Urban and Blanche (Shell) Behnken. He graduated from Brookville High School in 1948. Glen was a Navy veteran, serving in the United States Navy SeaBees (Naval Construction Force) from 1950-1954. Stationed in Rhode Island, he saw duty in North Africa, Bermuda, Cuba and other locations. He was a long-time farmer and owner of Behnken Concrete before retiring in 2001. They enjoyed travelling – visiting new places and making new friends. He was active in his church, loved hunting, and most importantly spending time with family and friends. His strong faith and dedication to family made him a strong role model for everyone who knew him. Glen was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle and friend. He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Norma; brother Dennis Behnken (Betty); sister Judy Horstman (Gary); daughter Nancy Roberts (Dennis); son William Behnken (Sheryl); grandchildren Ashleigh Roberts, Amanda Myers (Alex), Curtis Behnken
(Celestia Allen), Jacob Behnken (Andrea); four great-grandchildren – Korbyn, Julia, Kayson and Elliott; extended family and friends. Visitation for family and friends will take place at The Ridge Church, 7555 Brookville-Phillipsburg Road, Brookville, OH on Tuesday, 23 December, from 10:00 - 10:45 a.m. The memorial service will be held immediately following the visitation and will be officiated by Pastor R.
