KEEVER, J. Gordon,
Age 83, of Brookville, passed away Sunday, March 22, 2009 at Life Care Hospital in Miamisburg following an extended illness. He was preceded in death by his parents, J. Clarence & Orpha (Workman) Keever, by a brother, A. Dale Keever, sister, Eileen Keever and by his step-father, I.D. Leatherman. Gordon was an active member of Shiloh UCC in Dayton, he retired from NCR in 1985 after 36 years service, where he help found the Business Executives Institute. He was a member of the Brookville Community Scholarship Foundation, a former 30 year member of the Board of Trustees at Manchester College in Indiana and a past member of the Brookville Local Schools Board of Education. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Lovena ?Vee? (Fidler) Keever; daughters & sons-in-law, Diane (Dennis) Shank, Pamela (Wendell) Melton & Debra (Chris) Shaw, all of Brookville; son & daughter-in-law, Gregory (Karen) Keever, Perrysburg, OH; grandchildren, Dr. Ryan (Jennifer) Shank, Justin (Jessica) Landis, Ross Melton, Grant Melton, Alexandra Keever, Kyle Keever, Jared Keever & Alison Shaw; great-grandchildren, Avery & Zade Shank; sister-in-law, Jean Ryan, special cousin, Marcea Hefner and numerous nieces, nephews & special friends. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Wed. March 25 at Shiloh UCC, with Rev. Dick Van Tine officiating. Interment in Arlington Cemetery, Brookville. Visitation will be held 5-8 PM Tuesday at the GILBERT-FELLERS FUNERAL HOME, 950 ALBERT RD., BROOKVILLE, and at the church Wed. from 10 AM until service time. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to Heifer Project International, envelopes will be provided. The family wishes to acknowledge the loving care Gordon and his family received, both from the ICU staff at Good Samaritan Hospital, and from Life Care Hospital.
