EDWARDS, JB
Age 56 of Brookville, went home to be with our Lord peacefully from his home, surrounded by his family & loved ones, after a long & courageous battle with cancer on Friday, April 22, 2005. He was preceded in death by his sister Diane Riancho & nephew Logan Michael Smith. He served in the US Navy in the Vietnam War. He was previously employed 12 years by the Brookville Schools as a bus driver & more recently retired from the Miami Valley RTA & as a self-employed business owner. He was a member of Salem Church of God. He was the loving & faithful husband of Stephanie Edwards; father of Leslie Edwards, Brookville; son of Jessie & Delmar Smith, Brookville; the brother of Rickie & wife Teresa Smith, W. Alexandria, Michael & wife Theresa Smith, Linda & husband Rick Stout, both of Brookville, the step-father to Melissa Coterel, Brookville & Angela & husband Heath Alderman, Kettering. He was also survived by 3 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren & numerous nieces, nephews, & many special friends. Funeral Services will be held, 10:00am, Wed. April 27, at the GILBERT-FELLERS FUNERAL HOME, 950 ALBERT RD., BROOKVILLE, with Pastor Paul Strozier officiating. Interment Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Friends may call the funeral home from 4-8pm on Tuesday. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in JB?s memory to the Brookville Rescue Squad & the American Cancer Society.
