Age 93, of Arcanum, passed away on January 19th, 2026. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald; parents, Charles and Vina Kindred; siblings, Ellis, Dorcas, and Geraldine; sons-in-law, Kermit Dillworth and Jeff Bolton. JoAnn was a devoted wife, a loving mother and a person whose compassion touched everyone she met. She loved her family deeply and all she held close. Her home was a place of comfort, where there was always coffee on and a time to talk. She was a wonderful cook and baker, famous for her homemade pies which she loved to share with her family and friends. She was also the “family taxi” happily driving her kids and their friends all over town. She was a loving wife to Don - and they built a life centered on kindness and family. She made everyone feel welcome. She will be missed – she will always be in our hearts. Our Mom was an incredible woman and being her daughters was our greatest gift. Thank you to Heartland Hospice, Kim, Sabina and Jolinda for honoring our mom so beautifully and for the important work you do every day. She is survived by her daughters, Donna Bolton and Judy Middlestetter; grandchildren, Brandon (Dana) Bolton and their children, Ruxin, Fox, Rhyse, and Finnack and Lindsey Bolton and her children, Charlotte and Carly. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Heartland Hospice.
