BOGGS, John L. Sr.

Age 93, of Northridge, formerly of Brookville, passed away at Grandview Hospital in Dayton on Sunday, May 28, 2023, following an extended illness. He was preceded in death by his parents and by 2 sisters, Jenny Boggs & Dale Carver. He was a veteran of the US Army AirForce, serving from 1947 to 1950. He was a former volunteer with the Brookville Fire Dept. and he coached Little League at Clayton Hardscrabble for 15 years. He also served many years on the chain gang at Brookville High School Football games and he loved all kinds of sports. John is survived by a daughter, Theresa Pinion; sons, John Boggs Jr. (Rosemary), Brian Boggs & Bobby Boggs (Linda); 7 grandchildren & 8 great-grandchildren and numerous other relatives and friends. A funeral service will be held 11 am Fri. June 2 at the GILBERT-FELLERS FUNERAL HOME, 950 ALBERT RD. BROOKVILLE, with burial to follow at Arlington Cemetery, Brookville.
