SHIPMAN, Kelly
Age 35, of Clayton, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 22, 2022 following an unexpected illness.
Kelly is a graduate of Tri-County North High School, Class of 2005. She went on to continue her education at Bowling Green State University earning a Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design. Kelly has been working her career as a librarian for the Brown Memorial Library in Lewisburg, Ohio. She was also an active member of the Salem Church of the Brethren. Kelly was an avid reader, always finding a good book to pick up. Aside from reading, Kelly was a patient, kind-hearted, caring soul who was a great listener and had a wonderful sense of humor. She was a loving wife, a marvelous aunt, a great friend, and will be deeply missed by all the family and friends she leaves behind.
Kelly is preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Kenneth (Janet) Dearth Sr., and maternal grandparents, Joseph (Gloria) Motko.
She is survived by her husband of 5 years, Rufus Shipman; parents, Ken (Carla) Dearth Jr.; sister, Kendra (Trevor) Behnken, Casey Dearth; sister-in-law, Nina North and her children; nephews, Aiden Behnken, Eric Behnken, Jacob Behnken, and numerous other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 28, 2022, 12pm (noon), at the Gilbert-Fellers Funeral Home, 950 Albert Rd, Brookville, OH 45309. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 28th, at the funeral home from 10am – 12pm, leading into the services.
