Kevin Walker Obituary

Kevin Walker Obituary

Kevin E. Walker, 54, of Morristown, Indiana, passed away  on April 29, 2026. He was born on June 26, 1971, in Cincinnati, Ohio and always considered himself a Buckeye no matter where he lived.

Kevin graduated from Preble-Shawnee in 1989. He was a passionate sports fan who loved cheering on The Ohio State Buckeyes and the Cincinnati Bengals. An armchair coach, quarterback and every other player on the team, Kevin could often be found analyzing plays, talking football and baseball, and running his ESPN fantasy football league with enthusiasm, pride and competitiveness.  One of his favorite pictures was with the “BIG NUT” at an Ohio State game!

Kevin was deeply sentimental and treasured the time he spent with his family. He enjoyed visits to Kings Island and held especially dear the memories of a trip to Alaska—so much so that he carried his Alyeska aerial tram ticket in his wallet as a reminder of that special time. He loved sharing stories about his daughter, granddaughters, and stepdaughters, and took great joy in celebrating their lives and accomplishments.

Kevin also loved his work at Leo’s Market and Eatery in Greenfield, Indiana, where he built special friendships with the owners and many of his coworkers.

He is survived by the love of his life, wife, Savannah (Meeks) Walker; daughter, Shea (Kaleb) Byrge; daughters of his heart, Kaylie and Karly; mother, Patricia Brown-Vaughn; aunts, Sandra (Bill) Shafer and Barbara Brown; uncles, Michael Brown and Brian (Laura) Brown; sisters, Keisha McDavid  and Krystal McDavid; beloved granddaughters, Baylie and Kylie; beloved grandson coming in June; nieces, Arabella, Harper & Henley; and numerous cousins.  He was preceded in death by his dad, Terry Walker; grandparents, Marilyn & Ronald Brown; stepfather, Donald Vaughn; uncles, Cole Brown, Rocky Brown and Stanley Brown; aunt Lois Brown; and special cousin, Sawnie Shafer-Killroy.

A celebration of Kevin’s life will be held on May 4th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Golden Gate Park, Shelter #3, in Brookville, Ohio.  Pastor Josh Clifford from Pennyroyal Baptist Church, Franklin, Ohio will be officiating a service at 7:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Kevin’s children and grandchildren’s college fund at https://venmo.com/u/walkers05.

Kevin will be remembered for his love of family, his love of life,  his passion for sports, and the warmth and conversation he shared so freely with others. He will be deeply missed by all who know him.
