PENNINGTON, Letha
95, of Brookville, passed away unexpectedly on July 28, 2023. She was preceded in death by her parents Harry E. & Cora Jackson, her loving husband of 67 years, Rev. George W Pennington; daughter, Bonnie Jean Hiler; grandson Davey Rowser; siblings, Harry Edward "Bub” (Dorothy) Jackson, Mildred “Babe” (Leo) Sigler, Dorothy (Johnny) Joseph, Jean Montgomery.
Letha was a devoted wife to George for 67 years, 52 of those years serving faithfully alongside him as a pastor’s wife. She was a member of the Lewisburg Baptist Church in Lewisburg, OH. You would often find her surrounded by her children and 3 generations of grandchildren, whom she loved dearly. She was always ready to laugh, and she had a knack for finding humor in just about anything. For this reason and so many more, people loved spending time with her. She truly brought joy to the lives of those around her, and a measure of wisdom that will be passed down throughout the generations of her family and all who knew her.
She is survived by brother, Carl William “Bill” Beverly Jackson; children. Mike (Janie) Pennington, Connie (Joe) Staggs, Sheri Pennington; grandchildren, Lisa Carter, Bonita (Bert) Reyna, Julie Coffman, Jack (Lori) Stevenson, Chad (Heather) Pennington, Joe Joe (Laura) Staggs, Dusty (Zannah) Staggs, Jonathan Rowser; 14 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 1 at GILBERT-FELLERS FUNERAL HOME, 950 ALBERT RD., BROOKVILLE. Funeral services officiated by Joe Joe Staggs, Don Tucker, and Melvin Vansickle will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, at the funeral home with interment to follow in Royal Oak Memorial Gardens.
