MASON, Marvin D.

Age 79, of Brookville, passed away on Thursday, November 23, 2023 at Hospice of Dayton, following an extended illness. He was a 1962 graduate of Brookville High School. He retired from GTE/Verizon in 2005. He was a Booster Member of VFW Post 3288 in Brookville. He loved golf. He organized a Good Friday Golf event that lasted several decades. He spent over 40 years as the sideline statistician for Brookville High School Football. He also held 8 different golf outings to raise money for The Special Wish Foundation. Marvin is survived by his wife of 60 years, Connie; sons, Brad (Joni) Mason & Jeff (Lisa) Mason; grandchildren, Derek (Megan) Mason, Brady (Abby) Mason, Matthew Mason & Emily Mason; great-grandchildren, Gentry, Lillian & Cole; sister-in-law, Judy Riley and numerous other relatives and friends. At Marvin’s request, final disposition will be cremation. A Celebration of Life wake will be held at VFW Post 3288, 210 Carr Drive, Brookville, on Friday, Dec. 1, beginning at 6 pm. (post closes at 1 am)  Arrangements are entrusted to GILBERT-FELLERS FUNERAL HOME, 950 ALBERT RD., BROOKVILLE, OH 45309.
