HEFELFINGER, Maxine C.

Age 94, of Brookville, passed away at the home of her son on Saturday, August 15, 2020 following a brief illness. She was preceded in death by her parents, by her husband of 67 years, Don, by a grandson, Eric Bertke and by her sisters, Opal Bridenbaugh & Florence Dietrich. She was a longtime member of Phillipsburg Emanuel Lutheran Church. She was employed for many years as the Cafeteria Cashier at Westbrook Elementary School in Brookville. She enjoyed bowling, bike riding and spending time with her family. Maxine is survived by a son, Barry (Lydia) Hefelfinger; daughter, Ronda (Richard) Bertke; grandchildren, Donald & wife Harley, Leah, Nikki & husband Matt; great-grandchildren, Damian & Natalie. She is also survived by a grand-dog, Toby and numerous other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held 11am Sat. Aug 22 at the GILBERT-FELLERS FUNERAL HOME, 950 ALBERT RD., BROOKVILLE, with Pastor Phil Marxson officiating. Burial will follow in Arlington Cemetery, Brookville. A WALK-THRU Visitation will be held from 10am until service time Saturday. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to Heartland Hospice, 3960 Red Bank Rd. #140, Cincinnati, OH 45227.
