WEAVER, Melissa

Age 51, of Tipp City, passed away, unexpectedly, on Thursday, August 20, 2020.

Melissa has been an active member of the Lewisburg Baptist Church for over 40 years. She has been an important part of the ladies’ ministry and a wonderful Sunday school teacher for the church. Her passion for teaching has also led her to teach and work with MVCDC, MVCTC (GED program), High Scope, and other organizations. She loved to garden (and her bunnies), play scrabble, and deeply loved, and was loved by, her family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her father, Donlow Smith, Jr. and grandparents, Stan & Jean Hall.

Melissa is survived by her daughter, Jasmine Weaver; mother, Irene (Don) Brower; sister, Christy (Jim) Dempsey; nieces, Lauren (Jerrod) Clack, Emily (Skyler Duncan) Dempsey; great-nieces, Edyn Clack, Ellyson Clack; special friends, Sandie, Rhonda, Lori, and numerous other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 26, 11AM, at the GILBERT-FELLERS FUNERAL HOME, 950 ALBERT ROAD, BROOKVILLE. Burial to follow at Roselawn Cemetery. The family will receive guests during a visitation on Tuesday, Aug. 25 from 5-8pm, also at the funeral home.
