LOUGHMAN, Nancy L.

82, of Brookville, passed away on October 18, 2023. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Loughman; brothers, Don, Joyce, Elmo and Johnny Hemmerich. Nancy was the assistant manager at Ben Franklin for over 20 years. She loved to attend her grandchildren’s sporting events where she was known as “Cookie Grandma” for always baking the best cookies at every game. She enjoyed playing the piano and organ during services at church. She also loved her time in Canada where she spent lots of time fishing or working on puzzle books. She is survived by her children, Melinda (Brian) Gillon and Ron (Jim Wannemacher) Loughman, T.J. (Michelle) Loughman; five grandchildren, Lindsay, Stephanie, Brittany, Nathan, and Hailee; nine great-grandchildren; brothers, Ronny Hemmerich, and Rusty Surber; sister-in-law, Toots Harmon. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. on Monday, October 23rd at Gilbert-Fellers Funeral Home, Brookville. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 24th 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home with interment to follow at Royal Oak Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Grace Brethren Shepherd Hand’s Food Pantry or Brookville Athletics.
