Norman Eugene Filbrun

FILBRUN, Norman Eugene

Age 79, passed away peacefully on Tuesday July 18, 2023. He was born December 11, 1943, in Dayton, Ohio to the late Floyd and Mary (Flora) Filbrun. 

Norman spent most of his years farming and raising livestock, in Lewisburg, Ohio. Later in his life he moved to Indiana to be closer to his kids. It was then that he met Virginia Henderson. Norman and Virginia shared 16 years together. This time accounted for some of the best memories of Norman’s life. 

Norman is survived by three children, Jodi (Craig) Meade, John (Autumn) Filbrun, and Jared Filbrun, all of Flora, IN. Grandchildren, Shelbi (Tallis Bowers) Fisher, Bayleigh (Austin) Ford, Sidney Fisher, Grace (Matt) Homco, Trey Filbrun and Mamie Filbrun. One great-grandchild, Fallon Ford. Siblings include a sister, Thelma Landes and brother, Marlin Filbrun. Preceding Norman in death are his parents, brother Eldon Filbrun, sister-in-law Janice Filbrun, and brother-in-law Kenny Landes.

Family and Friends are invited to calling on Friday July 21, 2023, from 1:30pm to 2:30pm at Gilbert-Fellers Funeral Home, 950 Albert Road, Brookville, Ohio 45309. Graveside service to follow at Royal Oak Memorial Gardens in Brookville, OH.  Memorials in Norman’s honor can be made to charity of choice.
