COX, RAYMOND J.

Age 98, of Brookville, OH, passed away on December 17, 2023 in Georgia. Preceded in death by wife, Mary Ellen Mattis Cox; parents, Ira & Cora Cox; son, Dean Cox; siblings, Sylvan, Ruth Cain, Elsie Pitsinger, Mary Rowe, Richard Cox. Raymond lived his 98 years of life in Brookville Ohio. He served in the Army in 1945. He was also a long-time employee of NCR in Dayton Ohio, and later worked for the Brookville school system. Ray loved to play Euchre at Heck Community Center in Englewood. He also loved to fish, enjoyed wood working, and spending time with family and friends. He is survived by his sons, Lary (Kay) Cox, and Gary (Charlene) Cox; grandchildren, Casey, Jennifer, Melissa, Elizabeth, Lee, Ashley, and Mariah; 14 great-grandchildren; brother, Billy Cox Visitation will be on December 27, 2023 at Brookville Trinity Lutheran Church from 10–11 a.m. with the service to follow at 11.
