Age 60, formerly of Brookville, OH, passed away on Saturday March 22 at Miami Valley Hospital, Dayton. He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert “Rob” and Ruthanne Phillips. He is survived by his sister, Robyne Clark of Arcanum; niece, Kelsye Clark of Nashville, TN; nephew, Cody Clark of Littleton, CO; cousins, Gary (Michele) Sult, Susie (David) Rock, Lisa Zellers, Donald (Jennifer) Phillips Jr., Debbie (Larry) Roeser, Terri (John) Barnard; numerous family and friends. Rick loved the Lord and was a devoted Christian. He loved his family, and although he never married, he loved his niece, Kelsye and nephew, Cody as if they were his own. Rick loved the outdoors, especially his time fishing. He was a two time kidney transplant recipient and endured his illness his entire life. He exhibited strength and the ability to overcome his illness with his faith in God. He always had a smile on his face and rarely complained. He will be missed by all who knew him. Visitation will be held on Monday, March 31 from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at GILBERT-FELLERS FUNERAL HOME, BROOKVILLE. Funeral services to follow at 12:00 p.m. followed by interment in Dayton Memorial Park.
