Beloved husband and father, passed away peacefully at the age of 70, on April 5, 2025. Ricky passed away at Fort Walton-Destin Hospital in Fort Walton Beach, FL, while on an extended trip. His permanent residence is Clayton, OH. Ricky received an Architectural Engineering degree from ITT. He furthered his studies in Industrial Engineering at Sinclair Community College and the University of Dayton. Ricky served various positions in engineering clubs over the years. He helped establish the MVCTC transfer of credits to college programs, which is now called College Credit Plus. One of his biggest projects as a manufacturing engineer was working on the “Great Man-Made River.” The world’s largest irrigation project that took place in Libya. Ricky leaves behind his wife of 46 years, Pamela Young; sons, Adrian and Aaron Young and Aaron’s fiancé, Sara Hicks; sister, Teresa, and her husband, Ron Smith; brothers-in-law, Mike, and his wife, Cornelia and Harry, and his wife, Diane; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. They all brought joy to his life. Ricky enjoyed watching basketball, football, and baseball. The teams of Ohio State, UD, and the Reds were his regulars to watch on TV. He enjoyed music, fishing, and travel. Ricky has a passion for teaching people how to manage their finances through biblical principles. He attended Crestview Baptist Church in Clayton, OH. He was involved in various ministries of the church. His God, family and friends were the most important to him in this world. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 22 at Gilbert-Fellers Funeral Home, Brookville. Funeral services to follow at 12:00 p.m. Interment services will be held in Arlington Cemetery, Brookville. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be sent to the charity of your choice.
