Age 81, of Brookville, passed away unexpectedly at his home on June 14, 2026. Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Emma Kracus and sister-in-law, Patricia Kracus. A Dayton native, Robert spent four years serving in the U.S. Army with the 3rd Calvary Regiment. He met the love of his life, Louise in Syracuse, New York and they were married in Canastota, NY on June 21, 1969. After the wedding they moved to Dayton where they built their life with their three daughters. Robert was an avid runner and completed the U.S. Airforce 10K 15 consecutive years. He spent over 30 years at Allied Services where his hard work eventually led him to become the company owner until his retirement. Robert loved to travel the world and cruise with Louise. Above all his achievements, Robert was a great husband, father and grandfather. Robert is survived by his wife of 57 years, Louise Kracus (Rinaldo); daughters, Gina (David) Berry, Amy (Peter) Hillman and Susan (Neil) Vaught; grandchildren, Alyssa and Leighton Brooks, Isabella and Roman Hillman, Luc D’Autremont, and Robert James Vaught; great-grandson Kayce Ashburn; brothers, Timothy (Melody) and James. A special thanks to sisters-in-law, Debbie, Darlene, Virg, and Sue and Matt Brooks for being a part of his life. Visitation will be held from 11:00 – 12:30 on Saturday, June 20th at GILBERT-FELLERS FUNERAL HOME, 950 ALBERT ROAD, BROOKVILLE. Funeral services will start at 12:30, Saturday at the funeral home.
