ALLAMON, Russell & Carol
Russ, age 85, and a 43 year resident of Brookville, passed away at Fort Hamilton hospital from COVID on January 7, 2021. He was a proud USAF veteran and he also served for many years with the Brookville Fire Dept. He was a former member of the Brookville Board of Education and also a Past Master of Brookville Masonic Lodge #596 F&AM. He retired from GM. Russ was survived by his wife of 62 years, Carol; daughters, Marsha (Dan) Carroll & Laurie (Mike) Kappen; sons, Michael (Lisa) Allamon & Christopher (Nicole) Allamon; 9 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He was always willing to help anyone in need. He took great joy in the company of others, including family, friends and anyone he met along life’s path.
Carol, age 80, also a 43 year resident of Brookville, passed away unexpectedly at her home in Harrison, OH on May 26, 2021 following a sudden illness. Her husband Russ preceded her in death. She served the Brookville community as a member of the Fire Dept. Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed her work both in the office of Dr. Jeff Studebaker in Brookville, and at Springhill Nursery. She loved spending time with her grandkids. Carol is survived by the same family members as listed above for Russ and also by a brother, Brian Hendrie.
Graveside services for both Russ & Carol will be held at 10:30am on Saturday, July 17 at Arlington Cemetery, north of Brookville. Local arrangements are in care of the GILBERT-FELLERS FUNERAL HOME, 950 ALBERT ROAD, BROOKVILLE. E-mail condolences may be sent by going online to www.gilbert-fellers.com
