Shirley Bowman Obituary
Age 93, of Brookville, passed away on February 4, 2026. Shirley was preceded in death by her loving husband of 74 years, Gary Bowman; parents, Walter and Ruth Wissinger; sister, Carol Unger. Shirley was a lifetime member of the Brookville Church of the Brethren. Her life centered around God, church, and family. She was a devoted wife and supported her husband throughout their lives. They enjoyed many camping and fishing trips through the United States, Canada, and Mexico. Her hobbies included gardening, cooking, and sewing. She was happiest when hosting family gatherings. She is survived by; brother, Randy Wissinger; children, Cliff (Diane) Bowman, Kim (Stephanie) Bowman, and Lisa (Ron) Leonard; grandchildren, Emily (Aaron) Hilf Michael (Kayla) Bowman, Garrett Bowman, Karina Bowman, Deanna Bowman, Sydney Cole Bowman, Danielle Bowman, Reba (Dan) Klepper, Levi (Jessica) Leonard, and Ethan Leonard; great-
grandchildren, MJ, Jesiah, Micah, Clara, and Lukas. A joint celebration of life for Gary and Shirley will be held at Brookville Church of the Brethren at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 4th. Immediately following the service everyone is invited for food and fellowship at the Leiber Center in Golden Gate Park, Brookville.
