William Hussong, 88 years old, of West Milton, OH, passed away surrounded by family at his home after a long, courageous battle with cancer.  He loved his family dearly and fought hard until the very end. He was a loving husband, father, grandpa (papaw) and great-grandpa (pampaw) Bill was born on September 13, 1934, to Henry and Matilda “Tilly” Hussong in Wengerlawn , Ohio. After graduating from Verona High School, Bill went on to work at NCR and later as a Vice President at Shopsmith. He also served in the Army National Guard. In 1953 Bill married his beloved wife of  70 years, Harriet.  They went on to have six children, William, William Jr., Mark, Carla, Pamela and Brian. In 1989, Bill retired and spent his time tending to his roses, carving and playing with his beloved dog, Cody. Bill is survived by his wife, Harriet, Children William Jr. (Linda), Mark (Scott), Carla, Pam Moore (Chris) and Brian (Vance), Connie Daughter-In-Law, Brother {Richard).  5 Grandchildren and 7 Great-Grandchildren.  Proceeded in death by his father and mother Henry and Matilda “Tilly’ Hussong. And Son William Hussong Jr. A private family grave side service and burial will be held at Verona cemetery on Tuesday, July 25, 2023.  Services provided by Gilbert & Fellers Funeral Home.  Donations can be made in memory of William Hussong to Hospice of Miami County in Lieu of flowers.
