SHUE, Col. Philip M., MD
Age 54, formerly of Brookville, passed away unexpectedly on Wed. April 16, 2003 near San Antonio, Texas as the result of an automobile accident. He was preceded in death by a brother, Norman Shue & by an infant brother Steven Shue. He was a 1966 graduate of Brookville High School where he was a member of the National Honor Society & Hi-Y. He was also a member of the Basketball, Baseball & Track teams. He received an undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin in 1971 & he also graduated from Cincinnati Technical College as a Physician?s Assistant. He graduated from the Wright State University Medical School, serving a residency in Psychiatry and he spent over 20 years in the US Air Force. Dr. Shue was due to retire from the United States Air Force in August. He was a member of the Board of Education for the Brookville Local Schools during most of the 1980?s, serving as Board President near the end of his term. He is survived by his wife of 10 years, Tracy; son & daughter-in-law, Jeffrey & Dianne Shue, Florence, KY; grandson, Reece Shue; sister-in-law, Leslie & husband Frank Webber, NY; parents, Bruce & Miriam Shue, Brookville; brother, Roger Shue, Columbus Grove, OH; aunt, Patricia Johnson, Lebanon, TN; uncle, James & wife Patricia Eby, Union City, OH; cousins, April & Bob Roark, Barbara & Larry Stone, Vicki & Terry Eads, Kimberly & Mitchell Alley, Lorretta & Larry Fritz, Emerson & Janice Eby, Vincent Eby, Steven Eby, Susan & William Haas & Russell Eby. Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM Saturday, April 26 at the Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Chapel One, with Rev. Gordon Brown officiating. Final Resting Place will be Arlington National Cemetery, near Washington, DC. Friends may call at the GILBERT-FELLERS FUNERAL HOME, Brookville, 5-8 PM Friday. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Brookville Community Scholarship Foundation. Envelopes will be provided.
