Dear Mr. and Mrs. Shue,
I was very saddened to read of Roger's (and Steven, Norman and Phillip) passing in the Dayton Daily News.
I attended school with your sons and delivered your daily newspaper to your home for a couple of years in the 60's.
Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers.  Some of my most treasured memories are of that period of time in Brookville.

I worked with Roger at Oakwood Correctional from the time he arrived there until he left in 2008. He was my direct boss for many of those year but also became a good friend. We had many a informative conversations as well at times a good friendly chat. I will always remember him as part of a great team of individuals and know now that one of the leaders of of that team is lost and we are all less because of it. The last few years most of us would meet for a meal and Roger was always there with a smile and a laugh at Donna Burden for all those years. Ay my Captain, Yes my Captain, Good-By my Captain

Mr. and Mrs. Shue,
I just saw the notice of Roger's death on the Dayton Daily News website.  Dianna and I were so saddened by the news.  We remember you both from our years at Community United Methodist Church, and, as you know, we were such good friends of Phil.  You are in our thoughts and prayers.  May your faith continue to support you through these tough times.

I worked with Roger at Oakwood Correctional Facility and he was my first golf partner. I enjoyed working with him and he will be sadly missed.
My thoughts and prayers are with his family.

Bruce and Miriam, please accept my heartfelt condolences on the passing of Roger. I went to elementary and high school with Roger and Phillip. What is so strange is I had my year book out Friday night looking at Roger's picture and was reminiscing about how he use to tease me in class. I even tried to find him on Facebook! I didn't know anything about Phillip until today. I am just sickened and numb. Please know you are in my thoughts and prayers and if I could be there I would!
